Refund & Dispute Policy

This Refund & Dispute Policy outlines how refunds, disputes, and payment-related issues are handled on the LawBridge NG platform. By using LawBridge NG, you agree to this policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to:
- Lawyer consultations
- Lawyer-on-demand services
- Legal document reviews
- Escrow-based transactions
- Subscription-related disputes
2. Escrow Payment System
- Payments for legal services are held in escrow.
- Funds are released to the lawyer only after service delivery is confirmed by the client.
- Escrow protects both clients and lawyers from fraud or non-performance.
3. Refund Eligibility
a. Full Refunds May Apply If:
- The lawyer fails to deliver the agreed service
- The lawyer does not attend a scheduled consultation without notice
- A service is canceled before commencement
- Technical failure prevents service delivery
b. Partial Refunds May Apply If:
- Service is delivered but materially incomplete
- Delay occurs beyond agreed timelines without justification
c. No Refunds Will Be Issued If:
- Service has been fully delivered as agreed
- Client fails to attend a scheduled consultation
- Dissatisfaction is based on outcome rather than service delivery
- Document templates have been generated and accessed
- Subscription fees have already been used
4. How to Request a Refund
Clients must:
- Submit a refund request via their dashboard or support email.
- Provide reason and supporting evidence.
- Submit the request within 7 days of service completion or dispute occurrence.
5. Dispute Resolution Process
- Initiation: Client or lawyer raises a dispute within the platform.
- Review: LawBridge NG reviews communications, deliverables, and timelines.
- Mediation: LawBridge NG may facilitate a resolution between both parties.
- Decision: A final decision is made within 7–14 business days.
6. Subscription Refunds
- Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle begins.
- Refunds may apply if a billing error occurs.
7. Platform Fees
- Platform service fees and processing charges may be non-refundable.
- Escrow and transaction fees are disclosed upfront.
8. Lawyer Responsibilities
Lawyers must:
- Deliver services professionally and within agreed scope
- Communicate delays promptly
- Maintain ethical standards
Failure to comply may result in:
- Refund enforcement
- Account suspension or termination
9. Abuse of Refund System
LawBridge NG reserves the right to:
- Deny refund requests that appear fraudulent or abusive
- Suspend accounts engaging in repeated refund abuse
10. Limitation of Liability
LawBridge NG acts as a neutral facilitator and is not responsible for:
- Legal outcomes
- Independent lawyer conduct beyond platform oversight
11. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically. Continued platform use constitutes acceptance of updates.
