This Lawyer Onboarding Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between LawBridge NG, a legal technology platform (“Platform”, “Company”, “We”), and the undersigned legal practitioner (“Lawyer”, “You”).

By registering, onboarding, or offering services on LawBridge NG, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

1. Purpose of the Agreement

This Agreement governs the relationship between LawBridge NG and Lawyers who offer legal services, consultations, document reviews, content publishing, or related services on the Platform.

LawBridge NG operates solely as a technology marketplace and does not provide legal services.

2. Eligibility & Verification

2.1 To onboard as a Lawyer, you must:

• Be a qualified legal practitioner licensed to practice law in Nigeria
• Provide valid identification and professional credentials (e.g., NBA details)
• Complete the Platform’s verification process

2.2 LawBridge NG reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or revoke any lawyer account at its discretion.

3. Scope of Services

Lawyers may offer the following services on the Platform:

• Legal consultations (virtual or physical)
• Document review and editing
• Lawyer-on-demand services
• Legal blogging and educational content
• Any other service approved by LawBridge NG

Lawyers are solely responsible for the legal advice and services they provide.

4. Independent Contractor Relationship

4.1 Lawyers onboarded on LawBridge NG act as independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of LawBridge NG.

4.2 Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, partnership, or joint venture relationship.

5. Fees, Payments & Escrow

5.1 Lawyers set or accept service fees subject to Platform guidelines.

5.2 Client payments are held in escrow and released only after:

• Completion of the service, and
• Client confirmation or expiration of the review period.

5.3 LawBridge NG may deduct:

• Platform service fees
• Applicable transaction or processing charges

5.4 Lawyers are responsible for all personal taxes and statutory obligations.

6. Professional Standards & Ethics

Lawyers agree to:

• Act in accordance with Nigerian law and professional ethics
• Provide accurate, honest, and competent legal services
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions
• Avoid misleading, false, or unethical conduct

Violation may lead to suspension or termination.

7. Confidentiality & Data Protection

7.1 Lawyers must treat all client information and documents as confidential.

7.2 Lawyers must not disclose, copy, misuse, or retain client data outside the Platform.

7.3 Data must be handled in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Content & Blogging

8.1 Lawyers may publish legal articles and content on the Platform.

8.2 Content must:

• Be original
• Be educational, not misleading
• Not constitute unsolicited legal advice

8.3 LawBridge NG reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove content.

9. Ratings, Reviews & Conduct

9.1 Clients may rate and review Lawyers.

9.2 Repeated poor ratings, misconduct, or abuse may result in penalties, suspension, or removal.

9.3 Lawyers must not manipulate or falsify reviews.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 LawBridge NG is not liable for:

• Legal advice provided by Lawyers
• Client outcomes, disputes, or damages
• Losses arising from Lawyer services

10.2 Lawyers indemnify LawBridge NG against claims arising from their services.

11. Suspension & Termination

LawBridge NG may suspend or terminate a Lawyer’s account if:

• There is a breach of this Agreement
• Professional misconduct is reported
• Fraudulent or unethical behavior is detected

Lawyers may also voluntarily terminate their account subject to completion of pending obligations.

12. Intellectual Property

12.1 Lawyers retain ownership of their original content.

12.2 Lawyers grant LawBridge NG a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote content on the Platform.

13. Amendments

LawBridge NG may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

14. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

15. Acceptance

By completing onboarding and using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement.
